When Focus Falls Apart
Attention difficulties in adults, including the ones who were quietly told they were lazy for twenty years. Evaluation is careful and unhurried, because getting this right matters more than getting it fast.
Treatment covers medication when it fits, plus the practical structure that makes any medication work better. Sleep, routine, and the demands around you are part of the picture.
The Evaluation
The ADHD diagnostic evaluation is a two part evaluation. We go through your history, what you have already tried, and what attention problems are costing you day to day, and we look for other conditions that can look like ADHD or travel with it. You can explore the adult ADHD self-report screener in our self reflection tools before a visit. A screener is not a diagnosis.
Medication and Safety
If medication is part of the plan, we explain what it does, what it does not do, and how we will know if it is working. Some ADHD medications are controlled substances. Those prescriptions follow our controlled medication policy, and a request may require a visit, MassPAT review, laboratory work, or another safety step.
Cost and Insurance
We are in network with Cigna, Aetna, and Curative, billed through Headway. Medicare is not accepted at this time. Aura Integra is an enrolled MassHealth provider. Coverage depends on your plan; contact us to check yours. Self-pay fees: an initial psychiatric evaluation is $300, a 30 minute follow up is $150, and an extended follow up of 45 to 60 minutes is $200. A two part ADHD diagnostic evaluation is $350 in total. A limited income based sliding scale is available on request before booking.
See Insurance and Fees for the full fee schedule, the sliding scale, superbills, and your right to a Good Faith Estimate.
