988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline
Trained counselors for thoughts of suicide, self-harm, or any emotional crisis. You can also call about someone else you are worried about. Veterans and service members can press 1 after dialing. Spanish speakers can press 2.
Massachusetts Behavioral Health Help Line (BHHL)
The Commonwealth's single front door for mental health and substance use care. Use it for a crisis, and also when you are not in crisis but do not know where to start. They will connect you to a Community Behavioral Health Center, a mobile crisis team, urgent care, or an ongoing provider.
Massachusetts Substance Use Helpline
Funded by the Bureau of Substance Addiction Services. Finds detox beds, outpatient treatment, medication for addiction treatment, recovery coaching, and harm reduction supplies anywhere in Massachusetts. Interpreters available.

Worcester and Central Massachusetts
Local teams can come to you, and local doors are open without an appointment. You do not need a referral and you do not need to be an existing patient anywhere.
Adult Mobile Crisis Intervention — Community Healthlink
A crisis clinician will meet you at home, or wherever you are in the community, to assess and stabilize the situation. This is the alternative to the emergency department when the situation is serious but not medically dangerous. Youth teams serve up to age 21.
Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) — Community Healthlink
Massachusetts CBHCs are the designated walk-in site for behavioral health urgent care. You can arrive without calling first.

Nearest emergency departments
Go to an emergency department if there is a medical emergency, an overdose, a serious injury, or if you cannot keep yourself safe until another service can reach you. Emergency departments must evaluate you regardless of ability to pay.

Behavioral health urgent care near you
To find the behavioral health urgent care or CBHC site closest to any Massachusetts address, call or text the Behavioral Health Help Line and ask, or search the state directory.
Overdose and substance use
Massachusetts has a Good Samaritan law. If you call 911 for an overdose, you and the person who overdosed cannot be charged with possession for seeking help. Call.
If someone is unresponsive, call 911 first. Give naloxone if you have it, and stay with them. Naloxone works on opioid overdose and is harmless if opioids turn out not to be involved, so give it if you are unsure. Do not call a spotting line for someone who has already overdosed — call 911.
SafeSpot — overdose prevention hotline
If you are going to use alone, call before you use. An operator stays on the line with you and will send help if you stop responding. Funded by the Bureau of Substance Addiction Services. This is a harm reduction service, not a treatment requirement — nobody will pressure you.
Massachusetts Substance Use Helpline
Detox and treatment placement, medication for addiction treatment, recovery support, and free naloxone through local programs.
SAMHSA National Helpline
National treatment referral and information service for mental health and substance use disorders.
Poison Control
For a suspected poisoning, a medication error, or an intentional overdose of a medication when the person is awake and breathing. If the person is unresponsive, call 911 instead.
A note on honesty with us. If you are or become a patient here, you can tell us about a return to use, a missed dose, or anything else without losing your treatment. Substance use treatment records are protected by federal law under 42 CFR Part 2, which is stricter than ordinary medical privacy. We do not discharge people for having the condition we treat.

What Aura Integra can and cannot do
What we are
Aura Integra Behavioral Health, PLLC is a psychiatric and addiction care practice with a Worcester office, serving Massachusetts in person and by secure telehealth. Whether we are the right fit is decided together, after we talk. Services may include psychiatric evaluation and medication management, ADHD evaluation and treatment for eligible adults, and care for co-occurring conditions. Availability and payment options vary by service.
What we are not
We are not an emergency or crisis service. We do not have a 24-hour on-call line, we do not dispatch anyone, and we cannot respond to an emergency. The resources on this page connect you with services that are available now.
Messages sent to Aura Integra are not monitored as crisis communications. If you need immediate help, call or text 988, call 911, or use another crisis resource listed above.
After a crisis
If you already have a healthcare provider, consider telling that provider what happened so you can discuss follow-up care and safety planning. An availability inquiry to Aura Integra is not a crisis or follow-up-care channel. Established patients should follow their current care plan and use the communication route provided for their care.
