Care for Adolescents
For adolescents ages 13 to 17, Aura Integra provides psychiatric evaluation and medication management, always in coordination with parents, guardians, and the young person's pediatrician or therapist.
Common concerns include anxiety, depression, mood, attention, sleep, and stress. For teens, treatment decisions are made together with parents or guardians.
We are scheduling new patients ages 13 to 17 now, by secure telehealth across Massachusetts and in person in Worcester by arrangement.
What Is for Adults Only
Substance use treatment, including medication for opioid use disorder and alcohol use disorder, is for adults 18 and older.
Consent and Paperwork
For patients ages 13 to 17, a parent or legal guardian books the appointment, completes consent, and joins the first visit. Contact us first about paperwork for anyone under 18. After you book, our practice will send any intake and consent documents you need securely and tell you which to complete. Completed forms do not schedule an appointment or guarantee acceptance for care. See Forms and Policies.
Cost and Insurance
We are in network with Cigna, Aetna, and Curative, billed through Headway. Medicare is not accepted at this time. Aura Integra is an enrolled MassHealth provider. Coverage depends on your plan; contact us to check yours. Self-pay fees: an initial psychiatric evaluation is $300, a 30 minute follow up is $150, and an extended follow up of 45 to 60 minutes is $200. A limited income based sliding scale is available on request before booking.
See Insurance and Fees for the full fee schedule, the sliding scale, superbills, and your right to a Good Faith Estimate.
Who Provides Care
Care is provided by Augustine Mensah, MSN, BSPH, APRN, PMHNP-BC, a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Prescribing follows written prescriptive guidelines with an experienced Massachusetts nurse practitioner, in accordance with Massachusetts requirements.
