Two tracks, one page
Aura Integra Behavioral Health, PLLC is a new psychiatric and addiction care practice in Worcester, Massachusetts. Two programs make room for two kinds of people who want to help us build.
Community Fellowship is a short, remote, unpaid placement for students and early-career people building toward a licensed behavioral health career. Twelve to sixteen weeks, five to ten hours a week, mentored by Augustine.
Community Ambassador is a non-clinical way for community members to help with specific projects and events. Translating materials, staffing a booth, contributing writing or photography, sharing accurate mental health information in your own community.

Community Fellowship
A short program that invites a small group of people who care about behavioral health to work alongside the practice while it grows. Fellows help with outreach, content, operations, and other work that a new practice needs to do well. In return they get real experience, honest feedback, mentorship, and a portfolio piece they can point to afterward.
Up to four fellows per cohort, on purpose. Nobody is a spare set of hands, and every fellow gets meaningful time and attention.

Community Ambassador Program
The Ambassador Program is for community members who want to contribute to accessible psychiatric and addiction care without a clinical role. It is project-scoped and time-limited on purpose. Ambassadors help with a specific event or project, and when that event or project ends, the engagement ends. If a future project fits, we sign a new one.
You do not need a clinical background. You do need to care about how mental health and addiction care actually reaches the people in Worcester who need it.
What ambassadors do
- Staff a table or booth at a community resource fair, Recovery Month event, health fair, or civic event, using talking points provided in advance.
- Translate public-facing community education materials into Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, or any other language a community needs, with a bilingual clinician reviewing the final version.
- Research community resources (housing, food security, recovery meetings, primary care access) for a public-facing resource guide.
- Help set up, break down, or check people in at a scheduled community education event.
- Contribute writing, photography, video, or design to public-facing brand or educational content, with credit and a signed content release.
- Attend community coalitions, task forces, or advocacy meetings as a supporter of Aura Integra's mission.
- Share accurate, pre-approved mental health information in the Ambassador's own community, social networks, or workplace, where appropriate.
What ambassadors do not do
Clear boundaries keep the program safe for ambassadors, patients, and the practice.
- Ambassadors do not interact with any patient of Aura Integra in a care capacity, including scheduling, intake, triage, counseling, or emotional support.
- Ambassadors do not see, touch, or access any patient information, including patient names on schedules, insurance cards, prescription labels, or intake forms.
- Ambassadors do not enter, browse, or use any clinical or operational system used by the practice.
- Ambassadors do not represent themselves as clinical staff, employees, or agents.
- Ambassadors do not speak on clinical matters on behalf of the practice.
- Ambassadors do not handle, transport, dispense, or witness the administration of any medication or controlled substance.
- Ambassadors are not employees or contractors. The role creates no employment relationship and no expectation of paid work.
How it works
- Introduce yourself. Fill out the short introduction below. It takes about five minutes.
- We review and reach out. When a project fits your interests and time, we invite you in.
- Sign the one-page agreement. Plain language. Describes the scope, the boundaries, and that this is community engagement and not employment.
- Short orientation. The mission, brand voice, the absolute no-patient-information rule, how to represent the practice at events, and who to call when something goes wrong.
- Help with the project. Each engagement is scoped to a specific event or project. When it ends, the engagement ends.
Recognition. Written thank-you notes, letters of recommendation on request, a small annual community recognition event, and where legally allowed, small tokens of appreciation. Ambassadors are not paid.

Common questions
Is either program paid?
No. Neither program is paid. Fellowship offers structured mentorship, real deliverables, and professional development. Ambassador roles are scoped community engagement with recognition, letters of recommendation on request, and small tokens of appreciation where allowed.
Do ambassador hours count toward LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, or nurse practitioner clinical hours?
No. The Community Ambassador Program is non-clinical by design and no ambassador time counts toward supervision or clinical hours for any licensure track. If your program requires a supervised placement, please arrange it through your school.
Do ambassadors see any patient information?
No. Ever. That is the wall that makes this program safe for everyone. Ambassadors do not access schedules, charts, portals, or any material with patient information on it.
Do I have to be in Worcester?
Most ambassador projects happen in and around Worcester, and some can be done remotely from anywhere in Massachusetts. Fellowship is remote across Massachusetts, with occasional optional in person meetings in Worcester.
How long does an ambassador engagement last?
Each engagement is scoped to a specific event or project. When that ends, the engagement ends. If a future project fits, we sign a new one. There is no ongoing open-ended commitment.
Can I do both tracks?
Not at the same time, but people can move between tracks over time as their situation and interests change. Tell us your interest in both and we will figure it out together.
What happens after I introduce myself?
We read every introduction. When we have a project that fits, we reach out. If we do not have a fit right now, we keep your introduction on file with your permission and follow up when a fit opens.
